The Show

Due to the Bluefish game In Da Mixx started about a half hour late, but big ups to the Bluefish commentators for shouting us out and telling their listeners to stay tuned after the game.

The biggest news of the day was that a member of the In Da Mixx family, and the August 19th The Cut headliner, Contraband, was featured on BET Nightly News as their “New Music Tuesday” artist of the week. If you caught the segment and want to hear more just head on over to The Acoustic Cafe on Friday, August 19th!

We played quite a few new joints this week as we debuted songs from LMNO, Tony Yayo, Warren G, Dwele, One Block Radius and Rhymefest among others. If you liked what you heard don’t forget to tune in to 88.5FM or wvof.org every Tuesday at 10PM for In Da Mixx.

Next Week: Adam B rolls solo!

The Show

The show started with the return of DJ Cue. We discussed the success of the first Cut show, which was last Friday at The Acoustic Cafe, and one of the lovely ladies that had been at the show called in to discuss it (and blow up Adam B’s spot slightly, but it’s all good because it was hilarious). The next Cut is Friday, August 19th at The Acoustic Cafe and features Contraband, 275, Tosha Makia, C-Boogie and New Era Base.

P. Hallow stopped by with fellow Dark Waters labelmate Bori Puri to drop off some new material including In Da Mixx’s new intro and the P. Hallow remix of Tosha Makia’s “Oh.” Both are In Da Mixx exclusives and both are HOT!

We debuted a ton of new music this week so if you liked what you heard, or if you like what you’re reading, don’t forget to tune in to 88.5FM or wvof.org every Tuesday at 10PM for In Da Mixx.
